Camembert and Bacon Sandwich Recipes


Camembert and Bacon Sandwich
Serves 1 | Prep 10 mins

Ingredients
2 slices low GI bread
30g camembert cheese
100g Eskort Weigh-Less Smoked Bacon, raw weight
50g tomato, sliced
25g lettuce, shredded
25g cucumber, sliced
5ml extra light low-fat spread
22.5ml Weigh-Less Reduced Oil Dressing
Lemon juice
Weigh-Less Non-Stick Spray
Salt and pepper



Method
1. Place the bacon on a baking tray that has been coated with non-stick spray and grill in a hot oven until cooked through and crispy around the edges.
2. Mix together the seasoning, a few drops of lemon juice and reduced oil dressing.
3. Once bacon is cooked remove from oven and cut into thick slices.
4. Assemble sandwich starting with the veg, then the camembert, bacon and finish off with the lemon dressing.
5. Serve.

Notes
1 Serve = 2 CC + 1 Veg + 2 Protein + 1 Fat

Nutrition :
Four 14-gram (0.5 oz) slices of bacon together contain 7.45 grams (0.26 oz) of fat, of which about half is monounsaturated, a third is saturated and a sixth is polyunsaturated, and 7.72 grams (0.27 oz) of protein.Four pieces of bacon can also contain up to 800 mg of sodium, which is roughly equivalent to 1.92 grams of salt. The fat and protein content varies depending on the cut and cooking method.
